The Legend of Borealis
Part One:
Children of the Sky
Come; gather yourselves around the fire in this beautiful starlit hour. Heed no nightly noise for, though sword and shield may not be in hand, there is safety in the folds of trees and the moon, our mother, casts her watchful eye upon all.
Now, I shall tell you of a time long ago when the world was young. Not many are left who remember the tale, for it took place when our world Gaia was still innocent and the ravages of war were not yet set upon it.
There was once a land, at the dawning of the time, so green and fair that the great sky goddess Aurora kept it as her own, dwelling there often under the stars, lighting the night sky with her prismatic aura. She would leave trails of flowers where she walked and spring groves of trees wherever she slept; kissing dew upon all the land before fading again into the mists of morning.
In time she gave this land a name, one taken after the cool, refreshing winds that blew ever through it from the north; and so was called the blessed Land of the Borealis.
Then it came time, when all the world was shaped, for the fair children of the heavens to be born and come unto Gaia. By the blessing of the gods, father Sun and mother Moon gave life and birth to the first of these children. To them were born twin sons, the elder, Lunarean, in the silver lit countenance of their mother and the younger, Solarean, in the golden radiance of their father; thus were they named in honor of their sky parents. The brothers', in all their splendor, descended then to Gaia and marveled in long wanderings at its newborn wonders.
In time, they came to the Land of the Borealis and with them followed laughter, light and song. With a spring in their steps and joy in their hearts, they cast about them bits if their flowing hair that sprung forth about them the golden flowers of the sun and pale flowers of the moon.
The sky goddess rejoiced at the coming of these fair children into her land. With the soft, loving touch of her hands, she caressed and kissed the flowers of the sky children. The flowers then began to take the fair form and beauty of the twins from whence they sprang.
There after the Land of Borealis was filled with laughter and life, as was the first coming of the Elder race of Elves into the world of Gaia.
O'er windswept mountains of silver hue,
Into deep woods kissed in morning dew,
And spring-time larks in meadow song flew,
Here shall we reside, forever within you!
Borealis! O' Aurora!
Blessed be the waters clear,
In thine reflected crystal aura,
Laden with thee, every joyful tear.
Gathered hither all the night long
With laughter, light, love and song,
Our hearts rejoice in wondrous throng,
Dancing still upon the rays of dawn.
Aurora! O' Borealis!
In thee we rest the lands' undying quest!
Beauty shimmering thy celestial dress,
Weaving o'er the hills, into the west!

The four kingdoms: The beginning of it all
Before time began, there was only black nothingness. Until life started with an indescribable, cataclysmic explosion of cosmic energy. The mortals of the modern age who had scientific understanding, refer to it as "The big bang" but they only understood half of the truth yielded to them by science. This cosmic event didn't merely create everything they could perceive in the natural world. It was also the origin of the arcane and supernatural.
It was chaos at first. Water, ice, fire, stone, light and darkness. everything imaginable, with raw, unrefined, cosmic, arcane energy at the center of it all. It was from this chaos that the primordials

The Legendary Bard - Chapter 1
This is an old legend of a bard whose song could quell any hate. Calm any rage. And bring hope to those who are lost in darkness. The bard who lived long and proud, bring hope to thousands of people with merely his lyre and the clothes on his back. And it all begins with a melody that a small boy began hearing.
This boy was born in a small village. This village resided on the outskirts of one of the biggest kingdoms, though they followed no king. They stayed to themselves, making what they needed. The village was happy and peaceful. The boy was happy to fit in, but the calmness irked him. Nothing seemed right, almost as if the peacefulness w

This story was inspired by her artworks (which are featured in preview images with each of the enties by permission) in combination with Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings and a daydream connecting it all together in my mind; not to mention listening to Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy VII soundtracks to helped me focus.
The story definitely could have been longer, but I was on a word limit with the contest. Some of the parts are longer then what the limit is supposed to be, I’m sure. I really did try my best to edit and shorten them without destroying its essence.
An artwork for this first part will be posted as soon as I’m finished drawing it.

I like it *Smile*. A great prologue that makes me want to continue reading and read what happens next. I also like the language, It's very far from what I write myself, but it suits the imagery your words are painting.
